FAQs

  • I need to stick to something particular…

Adesives types are categorised with terms such as Permanent or Peelable for example, but these are just approximations of their performance. Please get in touch to discuss the issues in greater depth.

  • I am looking for a particular material…

The best thing here would be to either let us know what you feel you can explain and/or send us a sample to get our view. Maybe we’ll know it straightaway, or if we know what you need it to do, perhaps we have a good alternative suggestion.

  • I have a particular label shape in mind…

We can cut labels into most shapes, but whereas we have many existing cutters from which to produce rectangular labels for instance, special shapes are generally unique and often require a perhaps modest cutter charge.

  • I have a particular colour in mind, but suspect this is not an easy subject…

We agree, colour can be a difficult subject even when you are not seeking a particular result. We have several processes here and each has its own pros and cons. We suggest you get in touch to talk more about your particular scenario.

  • What do I need to know about when asking for a barcode label…

This depends upon what you want it for. If you have been asked to provide barcode labels by your customer for your product, they are likely to have told you what they want. It may well be a EAN-13 or 8 digit code, which is assigned to you or your customer by a special agency. For your own purposes, it might be a code for an incrementing number, so that you can keep track of laboratory samples for instance, and there are a number of ‘types’ to choose from. We can advise you about this too if necessary.

  • I have my own design in a particular digital file format, can this be used…

We can try to use your designs and these are better when they are in particular formats and from particular programs. Depending upon what requirements you have in terms of colours and potential amendments required, some file formats are much better than others. Please get in touch to discuss further.
